Site Assessment
We complete all stages of your site assessment to ensure that your site is suitable for growing trees and eligible for grant funding.
Due diligence checks and surveys are conducted by our inhouse forester and ecologist, making them cost-effective and providing a thorough understanding of the site. The right tree species and future woodland management system, e.g. Continuous Cover Forestry (CCF) can be selected, whilst identifying opportunities to protect and enhance valuable habitats.

Site visit
An initial site walkover enables us to investigate potential for tree planting and eligibility for grant funding.

Due diligence
Due diligence checks identify site designations and valuable habitats early on. A site meeting with Scottish Forestry then confirms suitability for grant funding.

Site surveys
We generally conduct a soil and deep peat survey (>50cm is never planted) and, if necessary, breeding bird, protected species, Phase 1/NVC and archaeology survey.
